Scripps Pier Moonlight Walk
The Scripps Institution of Oceanography invites San Diegans to attend the Moonlight Pier Walks which take place on the pier during the summer months. The walk allowed attendees a tour of the Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier, which is usually closed to the public. The pier is used by scientists, students and aquarium staff for a variety of research projects. It also serves as a platform to collect local marine life and deploy small boats and oceanographic instruments.
My Neighbor’s Cats
Wiley and Pumpkin are my favorite kitty cat friends. They are my neighbor’s cats and sometimes I take care of them. I send photos to their peeps, just to let them know that their boys are doing well. Here they are in their humble abode.

Meet Paul, Karl Strauss Brewmaster
Meet Paul. He is a brewmaster at Karl Strauss. I bet a heck of a lot of folks think Paul just drinks beer all day. Well, that’s not really true, as there is much more that goes into brew making than just the “tasting” part. His favorite beer: Wreck Alley Imperial Stout.
“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”
Ben Franklin
